Steve grew up in Canberra attending Marist College and subsequently Canberra Grammar School to sit the HSC. He then moved interstate to study Dentistry at the University of Sydney.
After being awarded the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree with First Class Honours, Steve returned to Canberra and joined Preventive Dentistry in 1997. He simultaneously worked part time at the ACT Public Dental Health Centres. In 1999, Steve took over from Dr Noel Egan to lead the Preventive Dentistry team.
From 1998 to 2002, Steve taught the Certificate IV Dental Radiography course at Canberra Institute of Technology training Canberra’s dental assistants to take X-rays of patients.
In 2002, Steve completed the Primary Examinations for Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. In 2005, he was admitted to Fellowship after successfully completing the Final Examinations.
Steve is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the ACT Dental Group. He has served on the ADA ACT Division committee from 1998 to 2008 and held the positions of Treasurer from 1999 to 2002, and President from 2003 to 2006.
Not one to limit himself, Steve has opted not to specialise preferring the challenge of mastering a variety of treatments including crowns and bridges, implant restorations, Invisalign® orthodontics and sleep dentistry.
Steve strives for perfection in dental care and leads his team by example by providing patients with the quality treatment that they deserve. Steve’s dedication to excellence in dentistry shows in his clinical skills and empathy for his patients. He is very much a carer of people as he is a carer of mouths.
Outside of dentistry Steve’s interests include DJing, motorsports, snowboarding, rock climbing, and his family: Ann, Oliver, and Coco (dog).
